## In short

Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is a dwaeji gukbap (pork soup with rice) and milmyeon (chilled wheat noodle) restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Asti Hotel building right next to Busan Station in Dong-gu, Busan. On a solo visit at 5pm on a Saturday there was no wait for a seat, and one bowl of dwaeji gukbap cost 10,000 won, with a clean broth free of any gamey smell and enough pork that meat came up with nearly every spoonful. Yeongdong Milmyeon is a good pick for a proper meal when you are racing a train departure at Busan Station.

## Yeongdong Milmyeon in 3 lines

- It's on the 2nd floor right by Busan Station, perfect for a meal before or after your train
- Visited solo on a Saturday at 5pm — no waiting, sat down right away
- The pork soup has clean broth and generous chunks of meat

Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is perfectly located for a bowl of pork soup the moment you step off the train at Busan Station. It sits on the 2nd floor of the building right next door, inside the Asti Hotel! Open daily from 10:00 to 23:00, it's easy to time whether you're catching an early or late train. I visited around 5pm on Saturday, September 12.

In this post I've covered how close it is to Busan Station, and how the broth and meat in the dwaeji gukbap (pork soup) held up. For common questions like parking or solo dining, check the bottom of the post :)

Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch sits on the 2nd floor of the Asti Hotel building right next to Busan Station. Once you step off the train and out of the station, it's right there — easy even if you're dragging a suitcase. Being able to handle your first meal in Busan right at the station was the biggest advantage!

There's no dedicated parking for the restaurant. If you're driving, use the Busan Station Plaza public lot or a nearby private paid lot. Since it's on the 2nd floor right beside Busan Station, it's really best reached by train or Line 1 subway to Busan Station :)

## Waiting time and solo dining at 5pm on a Saturday

Maybe because it's a new location, but Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch was really clean! I expected the area in front of Busan Station to be packed on a Saturday at 5pm, but I sat down with no wait at all. It's an awkward hour between lunch and dinner, so table turnover seemed fast :)

Even going in alone, I ate comfortably with no awkwardness. Since the menu is basically one bowl of soup, the meal doesn't take long, so it's easy to fit in around a train schedule.

## Menu and prices: dwaeji gukbap for 10,000 won

As the name suggests, the two main pillars of the menu are dwaeji gukbap (pork soup) and milmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles). Beyond that, there's sundae gukbap, a boiled pork platter (suyuk baekban), and hand-made dumplings — a good spread of solo-friendly meals. That day I ordered one dwaeji gukbap (₩10,000).

Since I was alone, I just ordered the one bowl of soup, but with the side dishes included it was still a complete meal! I also liked that with milmyeon in the shop's name, there's plenty to choose from for a repeat visit.

## How does the dwaeji gukbap taste? Broth and pork

![A spread of basic side dishes including chives and kimchi](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-pork-soup-solo-saturday/busan-station-pork-soup-solo-saturday-10-9ahn7-900.webp)

The basic side dishes cover all the essentials — chives, kimchi, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), chili peppers, garlic, onion, and more.

If you need more side dishes, just ask a staff member.

My first spoonful told me the broth was really clean. I expected pork soup to be heavy and rich, but it came through clear with no gamey smell at all.

That let me finish the whole bowl without feeling weighed down. And the meat — there was way more than I expected. Nearly every spoonful brought up meat along with the broth, so there was almost no stretch of just sipping broth alone. For a ₩10,000 bowl to carry this much meat, it made for a really filling meal :)
