I visited Neukdaewa Yang, a newly opened lamb skewer restaurant near Gulpocheon Station in Bupyeong, Incheon. Neukdaewa Yang has one especially special item — the patent-certified, limited-sale signature lamb rib skewers!! Since it's a dish you can only get here, I really recommend trying it at least once.

Neukdaewa Yang is a 5-minute walk from Exit 8 of Gulpocheon Station!

If you plan to use the parking lot, make sure to call ahead!! The barrier is manual, so staff have to open it from inside the restaurant. On weekends it seemed fine to park on the roadside, so that's what I did!

It's on the 2nd floor of the Daesang Plaza building with a big sign, so it's easy to find!

Look at all the patent and registration certificates displayed right from the front of the store. Patent-office limited sale — I absolutely have to try it~~

## Café-like interior and partitioned seating

As soon as I walked in — wait, is this really a lamb skewer restaurant..? It had exactly that emotional café-style interior. There's even a large mirror photo zone!!

Since it's a newly opened place, everything was clean and pleasant overall. Each table had dividers separating the space, so I could eat comfortably.

There's also a self-bar where you can help yourself to as many side dishes as you want.

### Sauces prepared at every table

At each table, the sauce containers are all laid out neatly, and each one is labeled with an explanation — pretty thoughtful touch, right? haha

- Soy sauce flavored with fruit and cheongyang chili peppers
- Vinegar-gochujang sauce made with homemade plum syrup
- Maldon salt, lamb skewer seasoning, cumin (jjalan), and hot chili powder

On top of that, there's a review event you basically can't help but join!! Everyone who took part in the review event got a signature lamb rib as a gift.

## The patent-certified signature lamb rib: how to grill it and how it tastes

This is the signature lamb rib!! The pieces are so big they came skewered on two sticks. At first I thought — only 3 pieces per serving, is that not much? — but not at all. Since it's sliced thick and hefty, think of one piece as being the size of two regular lamb skewer pieces!

Also, this signature lamb rib isn't meant to be rotated while grilling — you fix it in place and grill it front and back. The fire is strong, so flipping it once on each side was enough to cook it quickly.

When I ate it, there was zero of that characteristic lamb smell. It had a much richer flavor than typical lamb skewers, so it felt closer to lamb rib than lamb skewer! It was full of juice inside and really tender.

## The lamb rib sushi combo

They also gave us complimentary sushi rice so we could make our own sushi. Lamb meat with sushi — that's a first for me!

This combo is genuinely delicious. Eating it with wasabi on top cut right through the greasy taste of the lamb skewer. This is the first time I've had lamb with sushi, and I can't believe I only found out about this combo now.

## Finishing with shrimp egg fried rice

It felt like a shame to eat just one dish, so I also ordered the shrimp egg fried rice!

The shrimp egg fried rice wasn't overly seasoned and was nice and light to eat. Paired with the lamb rib, it made the meal feel much more filling than just eating the meat alone.
