I went to Incheon today and stopped by Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch, famous as a Guwol-dong, Incheon go-to spot for stir-fried jjukkumi (baby octopus). It's close to Munhak Stadium, so it's great to cheer at a game and then fill up on smoky jjukkumi stir-fry afterward. Let's get into today's post.

There's a terrace outside, which works as a waiting area when there's a line, and it also doubles as a nice spot for tea time since they offer free coffee at the end of the meal.

We visited around 7pm on a weekend, and even then, the inside of the restaurant was packed with people eating, including a lot of group guests.

On the first floor, there were floor-seating and table-seating options arranged as 4-person tables, with generous spacing between tables for a comfortable meal.

The basic banchan (side dishes) at this Guwol-dong jjukkumi favorite were mung bean jelly, young radish kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, and seasoned spinach.

Each side dish was well-seasoned and just right, so we kept refilling them at the self-bar corner.

The self-bar was set up neatly too, so it was easy to help ourselves to more.

There was also seaweed soup at the self-bar, and unlimited soda to drink.

Here's today's main dish, the grilled jjukkumi stir-fry. The grilled jjukkumi stir-fry comes in 3 spice levels, and the level 2 we ordered is about 1.5 times spicier than Shin Ramyun.

For someone like me who can't handle spice well, it was a bit much! But for my companion, it was just the right level of spicy.

The moment the grilled jjukkumi stir-fry arrived, the smoky flavor really hit.

Lettuce and bean sprouts come in a bowl, and rice is served separately, so you can add it to the bowl and mix it with the jjukkumi stir-fry.

The jjukkumi had a proper smoky flavor and the seasoning matched really well, and especially the springy, chewy texture made every bite so enjoyable.

### Gorgonzola pizza with honey

The gorgonzola pizza didn't seem like a frozen pizza — it looked like it was made fresh at the restaurant.

After eating the spicy jjukkumi stir-fry, having gorgonzola pizza dipped in honey tamed the heat and gave a savory-sweet finish — the combination was really good, better than I expected.
