When you travel to Busan, you pretty much always end up at Haeundae. I was playing around at Haeundae Beach with my kid, got hungry, and went looking for a good Chinese restaurant nearby! The vibe was really lovely at this Haeundae Chinese spot — it would also work great as a date place for couples. Let me introduce Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch, a European-style Chinese restaurant with a lot of charm!!

## How's the parking and location?

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch has parking in the rear basement lot and along the side of the building, so I could park comfortably before heading in. It's about 5 minutes by car and 20 minutes on foot from Haeundae Beach. Being in Haeundae definitely means it's a great spot to grab a meal after enjoying everything else Busan has to offer.

## European-style interior and seating

Walking inside, I found the place absolutely full of gorgeous lighting fixtures. The soft glow made the atmosphere really wonderful. This was actually my first time at a Chinese restaurant done up in European style.

There were long sofa seats and also space set up for larger groups. We arrived right at opening time, and while we were ordering and sipping tea, a lot of families started coming in.

## Menu and prices

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch has all kinds of jjajangmyeon and jjamppong plus special dishes on the menu. The menu itself, with its photos, looked like something out of a fancy hotel.

- Sunny-side-up pork belly jjajangmyeon 10,000 won
- Beef brisket jjamppong 12,000 won
- Black vinegar sirloin sweet and sour pork 28,000 won

We ordered the best-selling items along with whatever else looked tasty!

## Tea instead of water, and a full spread

![A cup of tea served instead of water](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit-11-6p08k-940.webp)

The first thing that comes to your table isn't water — it's tea. So we sat there enjoying the aroma while waiting for the food.

![A full spread of jjajangmyeon, jjamppong and sweet and sour pork](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit-12-1230w-1200.webp)

As soon as we ordered, we heard the kitchen get busy, and soon a whole spread of delicious-looking Chinese dishes arrived. The ingredient prep was clearly a cut above — everything was cut precisely to size.

![Basic side dishes of pickled radish and jjachai](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit-13-qgz5e-940.webp)

The basic side dishes were pickled radish and jjachai (pickled mustard root). Some Chinese restaurants have started offering jjachai lately, and honestly it does pair really well with the food.

### Sunny-side-up pork belly jjajangmyeon

![Sunny-side-up pork belly jjajangmyeon topped with julienned cucumber](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit-14-ao43m-940.webp)

This jjajangmyeon comes topped with a sunny-side-up egg in the center — a special version combining thick five-layer pork belly with the egg. Julienned cucumber is piled on top too, and I personally love cucumber.

![Jjajangmyeon noodles mixed with a popped egg yolk](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit-15-1sxu6-940.webp)

![Chewy noodles lifted from the sunny-side-up pork belly jjajangmyeon](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit-16-1r4yb-940.webp)

When you pop the egg yolk and mix it in, everything turns rich and creamy — that's what makes this particular sunny-side-up pork belly jjajangmyeon so special. The noodles were nice and chewy too, and it honestly felt like eating hotel-quality Chinese cuisine.

### Beef brisket jjamppong

![Beef brisket jjamppong topped with plenty of beef and green onion](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit-17-sud9l-940.webp)

The beef brisket jjamppong had a refreshing broth that impressed me right away — deep, rich flavor from the very first spoonful! It came topped with a generous amount of beef and green onion, matching the menu photo exactly, which made it feel even more special.

![Beef and stir-fried vegetables inside the jjamppong](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit-18-1y384-940.webp)

I first picked up the beef and stir-fried vegetables to try — and that flavor! This is exactly why you order the beef version. Slurping it down with the noodles, I realized it had been a while since I'd had such a good bowl of Chinese noodles.

### Black vinegar sirloin sweet and sour pork

The dishes at this restaurant really impressed me, and this one especially — sweet and sour pork made with sirloin in a black vinegar sauce. I know black vinegar is widely used in China, and this really is different. It has a tangy yet deep, rich flavor. There's also coconut sprinkled on top, and the fragrance was wonderful.

![Wood ear mushrooms served alongside the sweet and sour pork](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit/haeundae-beach-chinese-restaurant-parking-visit-22-1w97m-940.webp)

The wood ear mushrooms coated in sauce went really well alongside the sirloin sweet and sour pork. The sweet and sour pork itself was crispy outside and so moist and tender inside — excellent. If I come back, I'm definitely ordering this again.

## Final thoughts

This is a Haeundae Chinese restaurant that really knows what it's doing, serving special dishes worth seeking out. With its European atmosphere, it felt like a great spot for a couple's date or a family meal!
