## In short

Suwolgyeonghwa is a premium tea café on the 4th floor of a building facing Songjeong Beach in Haeundae, Busan. On a rainy day, the writer and her sister sat at a window seat watching a train pass by right in front of an ocean view, sniffed a lineup of teas before ordering the Dalbodeure Box, Jeju Breeze, and Chamomile Elixir, and got a warm walkthrough of how to enjoy each Korean dessert. It's a lovely, romantic Songjeong café for a rainy day out with someone special.

## A Songjeong café in Busan with an ocean view and a passing train

On this Busan trip I visited a café with a gorgeous view where you can watch trains pass right in front of the sea. It's a Songjeong café known for its fragrant, delicious specialty teas, and the view from up high was just amazing. I want to introduce Suwolgyeonghwa as a place to make good memories with your partner or someone special!!

## Where do you park for Suwolgyeonghwa?

You can park cheaply at the beach's public parking lot for Suwolgyeonghwa. There's parking on the 1st floor of the building itself, but the paid lot right out front isn't covered. Especially at that paid lot right in front, a wheel lock device automatically pops up after a certain time if you haven't paid, so watch out!

## Climbing the stairs to the 4th floor, and the café vibe

![Stairway leading up to the 4th floor of Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-02-1gn9p-940.webp)

![Interior view of the Suwolgyeonghwa café](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-03-avj3d-940.webp)

![Photo spot at the entrance of Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-04-10qg8-940.webp)

We parked at the beach's public parking lot and walked over, then went up to Suwolgyeonghwa via the stairs on the right. There's no elevator, so if you have kids, I'd recommend leaving the stroller behind! Along the way up there's even a photo spot commemorating Suwolgyeonghwa.

This was my first time visiting a café that's made the Blue Ribbon Survey — apparently it's listed for 2025–26.

Walking inside, the wide-open view and the great atmosphere immediately catch your eye, and every seat gets a great ocean view. There's a bar-style table for groups, but the window seats were the real prime spot.

Sit by the window and you can watch a train pass right in front of you. I visited on a rainy day, and honestly, it was one of the most romantic and memorable scenes from this Busan trip.

On the right side there was a special space displaying the teas Suwolgyeonghwa makes, showing off what kinds they have. It has a full glass wall, so everyone was taking commemorative photos there.

Before ordering, you could smell a variety of teas, and there was also a 'tea of the day' you could actually taste.

## What we ordered and the prices

Suwolgyeonghwa is a tea-focused café known for its premium teas. The menu had a wide range of teas along with special Korean-style desserts.

- Dalbodeure Box ₩13,000
- Chamomile Elixir ₩8,500
- Jeju Breeze ₩8,500

We sniffed our way through the options and ordered whatever we liked!

## How was the Dalbodeure Box, the Korean-style dessert?

![Table setting with premium tea and dessert at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-12-semig-1200.webp)

When the dessert and premium tea were set out on the table, it was so beautiful. It felt like a different kind of Korean beauty from what you feel at a hanok village. Along with the fragrant tea and dessert, we got a kind explanation of how to eat everything.

We tried the dessert first, and it was plated so beautifully I could barely bring myself to touch it. I visited with my sister and we were both busy just taking photos.

![Black rice sulbbang and monaka desserts](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-16-of8dj-940.webp)

![Cross-section of monaka filled with red bean](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-17-vw4lc-940.webp)

![Chocolate monaka dessert](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-18-1mqnv-940.webp)

From black rice sulbbang (steamed rice cake made with makgeolli fermentation) to monaka filled with lightly sweet red bean, and even monaka made with French chocolate carrying a floral scent — traditional Korean desserts came out in an elevated, upscale form.

![Injeolmi rice cake skewer dessert](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-19-1crnn-940.webp)

We also tried the injeolmi (rice cake coated in bean flour) skewer and the gamtae myeongnan (seaweed and pollack roe) financier. Injeolmi feels familiar to us, but the seaweed-topped financier had a subtle, really unique flavor. All the desserts were signature items that paired really well with the tea — you can tell they're a cut above.

## Jeju Breeze and Chamomile Elixir, and how to smell them

![Jeju Breeze tea served with a leaf coaster on top](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-21-1bvtd-940.webp)

The first tea we tasted was called Jeju Breeze. It was served with a leaf coaster placed on top.

![Jeju Breeze teacup with scent coaster](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-22-b3ykb-940.webp)

![Smelling the fragrance of Jeju Breeze tea](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-23-1a4dt-715.webp)

As they explained, while drinking the tea you're supposed to just smell the Jeju Breeze on top, not drink it. It seemed like a way to feel the fragrance more intensely while enjoying the tea. Jeju Breeze really did capture that fresh, zesty citrus feeling that makes you think of Jeju.

![Chamomile Elixir tea with chrysanthemum and chamomile](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze/songjeong-tea-cafe-rainy-day-jeju-breeze-24-zaseq-940.webp)

Then there was Chamomile Elixir, holding chrysanthemum and chamomile. It's a tea you can enjoy for its subtle fragrance, and it really calmed my mind.

Sipping fragrant tea with a gorgeous view as company on a rainy day — I didn't know it would be this good. It's one of the places I want to visit again the next time I travel to Busan.

## Final thoughts

A Songjeong café in Busan with an incredible view of the sea and passing trains, full of romance. It's a place I really hope you visit with someone special or your partner — somewhere you'd want to show off a beautiful view to people you care about.
