## In short

Jumak Inho is a small Korean pub on Geumnam-ro in Dong-gu, Gwangju, serving traditional Korean liquors with hansik anju (Korean bar food). The writer skipped alcohol for Pepsi Zero and ordered chilled pork jowl (17,000 won), gochujang ragu sujebi (19,000 won, spicy ragu with hand-torn dough soup), and octopus tempura with potato dumplings (12,000 won), and the chilled pork jowl served with chamnamul (Korean wild parsley) was the top pick. If crowded hotspots are not your thing and you want a calm night over good anju, Jumak Inho is the right call.

Jumak Inho, a Geumnam-ro restaurant and bar

![Exterior of Jumak Inho, a bar on Geumnam-ro](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-01-150mi-966.webp)

I stumbled onto Jumak Inho through a Reels video back when it had just opened. It's a bar on Geumnam-ro, but the menu looked so unique that I was excited before I even walked in, haha.

## Inside Jumak Inho: atmosphere and seating

![Cozy interior view of Jumak Inho](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-02-1ic7d-966.webp)

The inside of Jumak Inho is compact but the tables are packed in efficiently.

There's a bar table like this that's great for eating solo,

and for groups, there are four 4-person tables and one 2-person table like these!

![Calmly lit interior of Jumak Inho](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-06-43pt7-966.webp)

The interior is clean and the mood is calm — perfect for eating quietly when you're tired after work. If you hate crowded hotspots, this is your place.

Just know that since the owner runs the place alone, dishes can take a bit longer to come out when it's busy.

## Jumak Inho menu: lunch gukbap and evening anju

Jumak Inho, this Geumnam-ro favorite, runs different menus for lunch and dinner!

![Jumak Inho's lunch gukbap and dinner snack menu board](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-08-1j5t8-966.webp)

At lunch, only gukbap (rice soup) is served —

- Clear one
- Milky one
- Red one

I tried the red gukbap, and please, office workers, come have this for lunch. With whole perilla seeds and a spicy-tangy broth, it's seriously delicious. At dinner, you get gukbap plus a whole range of other snacks too.

The menu has a lot of dishes you won't find at other Gwangju bars! Personally I was really curious about the stir-fried mushrooms, the owner's favorite; the gochujang ragu sujebi; the ganjang-marinated raw beef, a popular item; and the chilled pork jowl!!!

You order by scanning the QR code at your table~ After much deliberation, I PICKED chilled pork jowl, gochujang ragu sujebi, and octopus tempura with potato dumplings!

## Three anju ordered at Jumak Inho, with Pepsi Zero instead of soju

The snacks I chose at Jumak Inho were octopus tempura & potato dumplings for 12,000 won, gochujang ragu sujebi for 19,000 won, and chilled pork jowl for 17,000 won.

![Three snacks laid out at Jumak Inho](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-10-1l63z-1200.webp)

Lined up together, the visuals were insane.

![Zero-sugar cola served alongside the snacks](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-11-1ku09-m-966.webp)

Jumak Inho serves all sorts of delicious traditional drinks, but this lightweight drinker went with Pepsi Zero again today... You all should enjoy the traditional drinks with these tasty snacks though!

### Octopus tempura & potato dumplings, 12,000 won

First up, octopus tempura & potato dumplings,

![Close-up of the plump octopus tempura](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-13-gnv5i-966.webp)

![Potato dumplings served with seaweed sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-14-zrtve-966.webp)

Thick, plump octopus tempura with chewy potato dumplings (gamja-ongsimi). Combined with a salty, insanely savory seaweed sauce, this is a fantastic drinking snack, haha.

![A bowl of gochujang ragu sujebi](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-15-dvb2p-m-966.webp)

### Gochujang ragu sujebi, 19,000 won

Second, the gochujang ragu sujebi — chewy potato dumplings tossed in spicy gochujang ragu sauce and fragrant perilla leaf oil...!!!

It's very different from ragu pasta. Definitely spicier and saltier, perfect as a drinking snack when you're hungry!

### Chilled pork jowl with chamnamul, 17,000 won

Lastly, the chilled pork jowl — personally, this is my number one pick ♧

![Chilled pork jowl topped with minari](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-17-dylnf-966.webp)

The fragrant, crunchy minari (water dropwort) paired with nutty pork jowl is genuinely delicious!!!!! I've only ever had pork jowl grilled thick, so eating it chilled like this was a first for me~

![A piece of chilled pork jowl being picked up](https://img.superchart.com/images/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju/jumak-inho-gwangju-geumnamro-anju-18-1uwmh-966.webp)

The minari's aroma is truly great >_< As a lightweight drinker, I wanted to wrap it in rice, haha. I'd want to order this again next time. Highly recommend it as a not-too-heavy drinking snack.
