Here's my review after a delicious dinner at Goban Sikdang Suncheon Jorye Branch, well known as a Suncheon Korean BBQ spot 🤤

Goban Sikdang is right across from the Samsung Electronics Service Suncheon Center. You can park right in front of the store, and there's a dedicated lot behind if it's full. I went around 6pm on a Sunday and honestly just parked wherever I saw a spot because I was starving 🙏🏻

## What two people order: Geunbon Combo Platter 600g and cold noodles

Whenever I come to Goban Sikdang, I tend to go for the combo menus rather than single cuts. This time we ordered the Geunbon Combo Platter (600g) for ₩59,000 (aged raw pork belly 300g + aged raw pork neck 300g). It was the perfect amount for two, and we added yeolmu bibim naengmyeon for ₩7,000 to go with it! No matter how good the meat is, you can't skip the carbs...

## Inside Goban Sikdang: room seating for company dinners

The interior was clean and tidy, and the inner seats were all full. There were groups in matching outfits too — the inner area is room-style, so I'd recommend it for company dinners. It had a lively, drinks-friendly atmosphere, and most tables had soju and beer on them

I've gotten so used to places where staff grill the meat for you that I don't really go to places where you have to grill it yourself anymore. That's why I came here too — and on top of that, they grill it really well...

The complimentary steamed egg (you can choose between steamed egg or doenjang jjigae) and the seasoned fresh kimchi. Nice and crunchy — twice as good wrapped with the meat! Lettuce wraps aren't served by default, but you can ask for them. Eating meat alone feels guilty, so I make sure to eat plenty of vegetables too

Getting even more delicious as it grills. Between the faint charcoal aroma and the smell of good meat, I became a person who just stares endlessly at the grill

Left: pork belly, right: pork neck. I'm usually team pork belly, but here the pork neck wasn't dry at all — it went down smooth and tender. I think I actually ate more of the neck, haha. They grilled it like true artists

## Yeolmu bibim naengmyeon: eat it with the pork

I ordered the yeolmu bibim noodles early because I wanted to eat it alongside the meat. Since I like bold flavors, I asked for extra sauce, and the staff generously brought plenty — I really appreciated that. The sauce is sweet and tangy with a spicy kick at the end = delicious

Honestly, my stomach was about 80% full by this point, but wrapping a well-grilled piece of pork belly with a bite of the noodles reopened my appetite completely. Even though I was full, I scraped the noodles clean

But when the meat keeps showing up right in front of you, what else can you do but eat it,,, We finished up wrapping two pieces of meat at a time. Not sure if it was a meal or a food fight at that point. Thinking back to unzipping my pants in the car on the way home, I'm pretty sure it was a food fight. >End of a happy meal<
