It's just 5 minutes by car from Gwanghallu, so it was easy to fit into a Namwon trip. It's directly across from City Hall, so it's easy to find! I'd recommend parking at Namwon City Hall or in the side alley. This is a place my husband and I often stop by whenever we're in Namwon — the generous portions and clean flavors keep us coming back. It's a genuine local favorite, so on weekdays it fills up with City Hall staff and Namwon locals; if you don't get there before noon you might have to wait a bit. By noon the dining room was completely full. The interior is spacious and clean. On the side there's pajeon and mandu (dumplings), which go well alongside the kalguksu and jjimdak. The jjimdak spice level is adjustable, from mild to spicy. I'll have to try the jjimdak next time~ They also sell kongguksu (cold soy milk noodle soup) made with 100% Korean soybeans, as well as the soy milk broth on its own. Plenty of clams sitting at the bottom too. The chewy noodles were great, but honestly, I kept spooning up the broth because it was so good haha.
