My hair had gotten really long and damaged, and I wanted to cut it to shoulder length and get it styled, so I visited Bailey Hair Label Jeonju Hyoja, a hair salon in the Jeonju Sinsigaji area. Bailey Hair Label Jeonju Hyoja has stylists specializing in different fields, so depending on your taste and needs you can get each stylist's signature style — layered cuts, tassel cuts, short cuts, leaf cuts, down perms, design color, and more.

This time, to get the layered cut and perm I wanted, I booked with the head designer, who specializes in "layered perms, hush perms, men's leaf perms, and hippie perms." I booked after seeing how nicely they cut my bob last time haha^^

The head designer first looked at the style I wanted, then decided we'd shampoo before deciding on anything further, so shampoo went first. After the shampoo, seeing my raw hair... the damage went further up than I'd expected, so we decided to cut to collarbone length and do a layered build perm.

The head designer remembered I was a returning customer and generously applied ampoule treatment before starting the root straightening and perm. Since my hair is curly and colored, and I regularly get straightening and color treatments that leave it pretty damaged, I really appreciated the extra care.

## Root straightening for curly hair, then the layered build perm step by step

Since my hair is curly, doing the layered build perm meant the top section also needed root straightening (magic straight). They carefully did the straightening press work so there wouldn't be any visible boundary line.

Even through multiple rounds of shampooing, they kept asking if anything felt uncomfortable, and the scalp massage pressure was just right, so the shampoo experience felt relaxing overall. When it came to the final blow-dry, they even explained in detail how I should be drying my hair at home normally.

Pretty from the back, pretty from the front~ Most of all, the curl and length came out exactly as I'd designed it in my head, so I was really happy.
