## In short

GRAY LAZY is a large gray-toned café on the second floor of the Sutgwadakbal (숯과닭발) building in Namak, Muan. At GRAY LAZY you take a menu, pick a seat first, then write your order and table number at the counter; an Americano and churros (4 pieces, 6,500 won) arrived fried to order, and the indoor dry garden in the middle of the room, hung with customers' wish notes, was the highlight. The space feels even better in person than it does in photos.

You know how you sometimes save café photos and never actually go? For me, GRAY LAZY in Namak, Muan was exactly that place. The interior photos looked so good that I kept telling myself I had to go someday — and I finally did, haha.

## Where is GRAY LAZY and what are its hours?

GRAY LAZY is on the 2nd floor of 27 Daejukseo-ro 16beon-gil, Samhyang-eup, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, and it's open daily from 11:00 to 24:00. Last order is at 23:30.

## Trouble finding the GRAY LAZY entrance?

The entrance to GRAY LAZY is on the 2nd floor of the Sutgwadakbal building. Honestly, I got a little lost at first trying to find the building, haha. I looked around going "is this really it?"

![GRAY LAZY's exterior on the 2nd floor of the Sutgwadakbal building](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-02-1g5xd-900.webp)

The sign isn't big or obvious, so if it's your first time, it's much easier to just look for the Sutgwadakbal sign first.

### The building entrance in Namak

Since it's on the 2nd floor, you have to climb stairs — and there's a little message telling you you've gotten healthier from the climb, hehe.

![Stairway entrance leading up to GRAY LAZY on the 2nd floor](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-05-1kpq8-900.webp)

But the moment you step up to the 2nd floor, a completely different world opens up. It's so different from the vibe downstairs that I just stood there for a second, stunned.

## How to order at GRAY LAZY

At GRAY LAZY you take a menu and sit down first, then order. As soon as you walk in, you'll see the menu boards and instructions for this ordering system.

I didn't know that and confidently walked straight up to a staff member — then had to turn right back around, oops!

Make sure to take this menu sheet, sit at the seat you want first, write down your menu items and table number, and then go order. The staff will bring everything to you.

## What the inside of GRAY LAZY looks like

The moment I stepped into GRAY LAZY, I could tell the owner was really serious about branding.

![Gray-toned interior of GRAY LAZY](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-09-1tp76-900.webp)

Nothing about the interior or the overall concept felt thrown together.

### Desserts on the GRAY LAZY menu

There's homemade pudding and a whole range of desserts you can see at a glance!

### Goods on sale at GRAY LAZY

You can apparently buy the stylish scissors used to cut the churros, plus other little items. I'm pretty sure the owner used to be a designer — no doubt about it. Amazing!

## The indoor dry garden at the center of the café

What I was most curious about from GRAY LAZY's review photos was this indoor dry garden. Its overwhelming size and sense of space really stick with you!

![Large indoor dry garden at the center of GRAY LAZY](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-11-1yxn6-900.webp)

Inside it, customers' wish notes and drawings are tucked away — some folded into cranes, planes, or boats, some just written notes — and it felt like a whole other reason to come back and remember today again!

You'd think the gray tones would feel cold, but oddly, it made the mood feel calm instead.

## Solo seats at GRAY LAZY, ideal for laptop work

GRAY LAZY had more single seats than I expected. It seemed like a perfect spot for solo café visitors to sit without feeling self-conscious.

![Single seating at GRAY LAZY](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-14-7qfuj-900.webp)

![Solo café seating with power outlets at GRAY LAZY](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-15-1a04m-900.webp)

It's the kind of space where people naturally lower their voices rather than chatting loudly — it looked great for focusing on your own thing. And best of all, every single seat had an outlet, which really showed how much thought went into taking care of customers!

## Seats around the dry garden

![Tables surrounding the dry garden at GRAY LAZY](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-16-vj080-900.webp)

![View of seating next to the dry garden at GRAY LAZY](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-17-66po7-900.webp)

I liked the layout too. The dry garden sits in the middle, with tables arranged around it.

The view is a little different depending on where you sit, which made it fun.

![Interior of GRAY LAZY with different views from each seat](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-18-1u75z-900.webp)

And I was honestly surprised at how many people were there. It's been a while since I've seen a café this packed, haha. It's not even a huge café at a tourist spot, but customers kept coming in nonstop. Places like this must have their reasons. Even with that many people, it never felt noisy overall, which I also liked.

## Americano and churros, 4 pieces for 6,500 won

I ordered an Americano and churros at GRAY LAZY. The churros are 4 pieces for ₩6,500, and they fry them fresh the moment you order.

Waiting for the order to arrive...

![Table view at GRAY LAZY while waiting for the order](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-19-13wtq-900.webp)

The coffee was good too. It was on the stronger side with a nutty, roasty aroma that went really well with the sweet churros. If you prefer something heavy and nutty over a bright, acidic coffee, this will probably suit your taste. If you've been looking for a good coffee spot in Namak, this one's worth a try.

![Americano and freshly fried churros at GRAY LAZY](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-20-10evk-900.webp)

![Four churros fried fresh right after ordering](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-21-1drru-900.webp)

![Close-up of crispy churros](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-22-1fyeb-900.webp)

![A cup of GRAY LAZY's strong Americano](https://img.superchart.com/images/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe/grayleisure-muan-namak-dry-garden-cafe-23-622fh-900.webp)

So when they came out, they were genuinely straight-from-the-fryer fresh. Crispy on the outside, warm on the inside — honestly the best. I figured churros taste about the same wherever you get them, but freshly fried ones are really on a different level, haha. Even with a bit of a wait, this was worth it.

## A large group room at the back

There's a large room in the back of GRAY LAZY too, which looked great for bigger groups. If you're going with family or a group, having a space like this is definitely convenient.

## Who should visit GRAY LAZY?

To sum up, GRAY LAZY seems like a good fit for these kinds of people:

- Anyone who wants to spend quiet time alone
- Anyone who wants to sit and work on something for a long time
- Anyone looking for a good-vibe café in Namak
- Anyone who needs a space for a group gathering

On the other hand, if you're looking for somewhere loud and lively to chat, the vibe here might not be quite what you want. Places where you can tell they put real thought into the space are the ones you end up sitting in for a long time. Among cafés in Namak, Muan, this is the one I'll think of again when I want to really soak in the atmosphere. Next time I go, I'm going to try the other desserts, haha — coming back for that pudding!
