## In short

Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch is a large five-floor café with a rooftop, tucked into the alleys of Haenggung-dong in Suwon. Orders are placed on the basement floor, where the signature coconut coffee costs 7,000 won and the honey grapefruit black tea 6,500 won, and sipping the two side by side upstairs showed how well the sweet coconut coffee and the tangy grapefruit tea go together. Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters suits a slow stay on whichever floor fits your mood more than a quick drink on the way out.

If you're talking about cafés in Haenggung-dong, you can't leave out Jeong Ji-young Coffee.

It's the kind of place I end up stopping by almost every time I visit Haenggung-dong. This time I went to Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch, known for its unique space and moody atmosphere.

From the interior that keeps the charm of an old building intact to the different mood on every floor, it was fun just wandering around and looking at the space, not only drinking coffee.

This time I tried the signature coconut coffee and the refreshing honey grapefruit black tea. Let me walk you through my visit — the menu, the interior, and how to use the space.

## What kind of café is Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch?

![Exterior of the five-floor café building in a Haenggung-dong alley](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea-02-1bjke-900.webp)

Walking through the alleys of Haenggung-dong, the large five-floor rooftop café Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch immediately catches your eye.

It has a completely different charm from the sleek, polished large cafés you see these days. Keeping the rough texture and exposed structure of the old building gave it a vintage yet hip feel.

The signboard guided visitors: B1 for ordering, 1F roasting room, 2F seating, 3F academy, 4F seating, 5F rooftop.

According to the posted hours on site, it operates from 11 AM to 10 PM, and it runs as a no-kids-zone. Hours and policies can change, so it's worth double-checking official channels before you visit.

## Ordering on the basement floor

![Basement level ordering space](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea-05-cv1nt-900.webp)

At Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch, the ordering area is on the basement level, which can be a little confusing on your first visit.

Going down the stairs from the entrance to the basement, you reach the ordering space — and it's not the usual café layout where you see a counter the moment you open the door, so it felt different from the start.

The basement space had drinks being made right in front of you along with various desserts on display. The industrial vibe, reminiscent of a factory or workshop, kept me looking around even while waiting for my order.

## Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters menu and prices

![Menu board for non-coffee drinks](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea-09-w62qd-900.webp)

According to the menu board at the time of my visit, Americano was ₩5,500, Flat White ₩6,000, Café Latte ₩6,500, and Vanilla Latte ₩6,800.

Jeong Ji-young Coffee's signature coconut coffee was ₩7,000.

Besides coffee, there were various other drinks — Grapefruit Ade ₩6,500, London Fog Milk Tea ₩6,500, Honey Grapefruit Black Tea ₩6,500, and Chamomile ₩6,500.

![Desserts displayed in the showcase](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea-10-10le7-900.webp)

![Dessert display case with cookies and cakes](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea-11-76swa-900.webp)

I couldn't just walk past the dessert menu either.

American cookies, Basque cheesecake, fig Earl Grey cake, honey rusk, and lamington were all on display, among others.

Menu and pricing may vary depending on when you visit, so keep that in mind.

## How does the signature coconut coffee taste?

![A cup of the signature coconut coffee](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea-12-11ujc-900.webp)

The first drink we chose was Jeong Ji-young Coffee's signature coconut coffee, priced at ₩7,000.

It's marked as the signature on the menu board, so it felt like a must-try on a first visit. Tasting it, the smooth, sweet flavor blended with the coffee's bitterness had a clearly different charm from a regular café latte.

The subtle, nutty-sweet coconut flavor lingering in the mouth was also great. It's not too heavy — more like something you can enjoy pleasantly, like a dessert — which suited my taste for sweet drinks well.

## Honey grapefruit black tea: tangy and refreshing

![A cup of honey grapefruit black tea](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea-13-80y7u-900.webp)

The other drink we ordered was the honey grapefruit black tea, priced at ₩6,500.

True to its name, it's a drink combining the tangy sweetness of grapefruit with the subtle aroma of black tea. The burst of grapefruit's freshness worked really well as we switched back and forth with the sweet coconut coffee.

If the coconut coffee leans soft and sweet, the honey grapefruit black tea feels crisp and clean. It seems like a great choice on days when coffee feels like too much or you're craving something lighter.

## A different mood on every floor

![Seating area with exposed concrete and wood-toned tables](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea-14-wdx9y-900.webp)

After getting our drinks, we moved to seating on the upper floors.

It was striking how traces of the old building were paired with modern furniture. Exposed concrete and piping were left as they were, with wood-toned tables and chairs added to complete Jeong Ji-young Coffee's distinctive atmosphere.

There were various seating options, from regular tables good for groups to seats facing the wall. Since the space is divided floor by floor, it was fun picking a seat to match whatever mood we wanted.

Walking around Haenggung-dong, this felt less like a café where you drink and dash and more like a place to find a seat you like and settle in for a while.

## Parking near Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters in Haenggung-dong

![View of the Haenggung-dong alley around the café](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea/suwon-haenggungdong-cafe-honey-grapefruit-black-tea-15-17i0b-900.webp)

Haenggung-dong has a lot of narrow alleys and gets crowded with visitors on weekends, so if you're driving, it's a good idea to check parking options ahead of time.

Rather than expecting to park right in front of the café, it may be easier to find an available public parking lot around Haenggung-dong and walk over from there.

Especially on weekends or during busy hours, the surrounding roads and parking lots can get congested, so give yourself extra time.

Parking lot hours and fees can change, so checking a map app or the parking lot's own info on the day of your visit is the most reliable way to be sure.
