I was looking for a pretty café in Wondang, Goyang where I could enjoy not just the indoor space but a spacious outdoor garden too, and that's how I found Baedagol Bakery House. I was especially curious about their seasonal fruit menu, and since it happened to be fresh melon season, I tried the melon latte along with a few different baked goods.

### 🌿 A Wondang café that feels spacious from the door

Baedagol Bakery House is a large bakery café located in Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. It opened in December 2024 and sells healthy, delicious breads, desserts and drinks made with seasonal fruit, and coffee made with specialty beans. It especially has a big, pretty garden that's great for relaxing.

## Is parking easy at Baedagol Bakery House?

### 🅿️ Parking was plentiful and stress-free

There's space for about 10 cars right in front of the café, and a separate dedicated lot across the street offers free parking for 40+ cars. For a large café like this where most people drive in, running out of parking spots can be exhausting from the start, so having generous free parking was definitely a relief.

What I liked most was that the café felt quite big the moment I walked in — seating continues from the 1st floor up to the 2nd floor, and outside there's a large, separate garden area too.

The interior overall uses wood-tone furniture for a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Big windows let in a cool view of the greenery outside, and the white walls paired with wooden tables gave the whole place a calm yet natural feel!

If you sit by the window, you can enjoy your coffee looking out at the scenery without feeling cramped, and there are plenty of large tables too, great for when you visit with a group.

## The three 2nd-floor private rooms and the terrace

Baedagol Bakery House has three private rooms on the 2nd floor. The lighting is so good and the vibe is seriously… ❤️ It seems perfect not just for dates but for gatherings or family visits too.

There are also terrace seats on the outside of the 2nd floor, and I sat there for a bit — wow, it was exactly the kind of spot you want to sit in with weather like this these days.

## Why the garden is the highlight at Baedagol Bakery House

🐶 Dogs are allowed outdoors with a leash, but not permitted indoors.

### 🌳 The garden I remembered more than the café

Step outside into the café's outdoor space and a garden filled with trees and flowers opens up, with wooden tables and chairs scattered throughout — on a nice day it'd be great to enjoy bread and drinks out here.

Each table has a big parasol spread over it so you can sit out of the sun, and being surrounded by greenery made just sitting there feel a lot more relaxing. There's also a sand play area for kids, complete with toy dump trucks and excavators for sand play, so it seemed like a really great spot to visit with children.

🍈 Menus that use seasonal fruit are a defining feature of this place, and this time, since it was fresh melon season, there was a whole lineup of melon items — latte, yogurt smoothie, ade, and snow bingsu.

There's a variety of breads and sweet slice cakes. I visited around 4:30 on a weekday and a few items were already sold out. If you're a bread lover, I'd recommend visiting earlier.

## 🥤 Fresh melon latte, 10,000 won

The Fresh Melon Overload Latte (₩10,000) I ordered lived up to its name — melon really was overloaded on top, visually speaking. A generous pile of round-cut fresh melon flesh sat on top of the cup, and just looking at it gave off a fragrant, sweet feeling!

When I picked up a piece of melon first, the flesh wasn't mushy at all — it had a firm, juicy texture, and with every bite I could taste the melon's subtle fragrance and sweet juice 💚 Stir the melon syrup settled at the bottom and drink it together with the smooth milk, and the melon's fresh sweetness becomes even softer, plus it's fun to chew on bits of the fruit as you go.

## 🥨 Tasting four Baedagol bakes properly

### Plain scone

The outside was baked slightly firm and plain-tasting, while the inside was crumbly and soft. It wasn't overly sweet, so it paired well with a sweet drink like the melon latte, and the subtle buttery savoriness made it feel like a scone that nailed the basics.

### Gongju chestnut bread (공주밤 브레드)

Splitting it in half revealed a section densely packed with chestnut and nuts. Bits of chestnut and nuts crunched throughout, adding fun to the texture. The chestnut's naturally sweet, nutty flavor combined with the savoriness of the nuts made for a plain yet subtly rich taste.

### Sausage danish

This bread had the classic pastry layers, so the first thing I noticed biting in was the flaky, crispy texture crumbling layer by layer. Inside was a plump sausage, and with each bite the salty, juicy flavor came through more, and combined with the savory, salty flavor of the cheese, it felt more like a full meal than a snack.

### Butter pretzel

The outside had a plain, salty taste with just a hint of sweetness. The more I chewed, the more the butter inside melted softly into the bread. The pretzel's signature chewy, elastic texture made it clearly different from a plain fluffy bread.

You can wrap up any leftover bread yourself!

## Is Baedagol Bakery House worth the trip?

What I liked about Baedagol Bakery House is that it's not just a café where you grab bread and coffee and leave — it's a large Goyang café where you can enjoy various spaces, from the nicely designed interior to the garden and terrace. This time it was melon season, so I tried a latte topped with fresh melon flesh, and now I'm curious about the next season's menu too. If you want to enjoy tasty desserts and also relax in a lush green garden, definitely stop by!!
