## In short

Hangsangcharim Kodari Myeongga Ruwon City Branch is a braised pollock (kodari) restaurant that opened on September 4, 2026 in Gajeong-dong, Ruwon City, Seohae, Incheon. After enjoying autumn at Dream Park Wildflower Complex, the writer stopped by on a weekend evening and ordered the siraegi pollock stew for two and nutrient hotpot rice in the mild-spicy option, finding the pollock thick and the dried radish greens generous, with a sharper aftertaste than Shin Ramyun even at mild. Side dishes are refillable at a self-serve corner and the parking tower is free with a meal, making it easy for family gatherings or work dinners.

On a weekend when the clear autumn sky and cool, heat-free breeze practically dragged me outside, I spent the day enjoying fall at Cheongna's "Dream Park Wildflower Complex," then went looking for dinner nearby and ended up at "Hangsangcharim Kodari Myeongga Ruwon City Branch." ## A brand-new kodari (braised pollock) specialist that opened September 4

"Hangsangcharim Kodari Myeongga Ruwon City Branch," located in Ruwon City in Gajeong-dong, Seogu, is a piping-fresh kodari (braised pollock) restaurant that opened on September 4. At the entrance they were also selling kodari meal kits.

Since it just opened on September 4, the interior was spacious and spotless, with tables set well apart — I'd recommend it for family gatherings, office lunches, or small group dinners too. 👌

## The menu and the 500-degree oven

The menu isn't just braised pollock — there's also stir-fried pork ribs, boiled octopus, and mixed grilled fish cooked in a 500-degree oven.

![The 500-degree oven inside the kitchen](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongna-kodari-jjim-dinner-luwon-city/cheongna-kodari-jjim-dinner-luwon-city-11-2r6ej-900.webp)

There's an oven sitting proudly in the kitchen. As someone who loves grilled fish, I saw that oven and desperately wanted grilled fish too, but I held back. 😆 Since this was my first visit and it's a braised pollock specialist, I figured I should stick to the braised pollock first.

## Ordering siraegi pollock stew for two + nutrient hotpot rice, mild-spicy

So I ordered the siraegi pollock stew for two (₩41,000) and one nutrient hotpot rice (₩3,000). The spice level is adjustable, and since I was told the mild-spicy option was about as spicy as Shin Ramyun, I went with mild-spicy.

### Three pollock, their size, and the amount of siraegi

I also love braised pollock and have been to many specialist restaurants for it. First off, three pollock — said to be prepped fresh every single day — arrived. The pollock were bigger and thicker than at places I've visited before, and there was plenty of dried radish greens (siraegi) too. Glistening with a nice sheen, the nutrient hotpot rice had sweet pumpkin, black beans, and ginkgo nuts in it.

### How spicy is mild-spicy, really?

I first tried just the pollock flesh on its own. I love Buldak Bokkeummyeon, so I figured this would taste too bland for me — but wait, what??? The aftertaste was actually sharper than Shin Ramyun. Even my companion, who can't handle spice well, gave it a thumbs up 👍 — spicy, but deliciously spicy. Braised dishes usually lean pretty sweet, but the sweetness here was well balanced too.

The siraegi and pollock stew, together, yum — the greens stayed soft while keeping their chewy texture 👍, and the combo of crunchy bean sprouts with the firm, half-dried pollock flesh was 👍👍. So glossy and shiny~ Put the hotpot rice on seaweed, wrap it up together with bean sprouts and siraegi, and the different textures all come together into a flavor that has you completely focused on eating 💕 If it gets a bit too spicy, a slurp of the cold bean sprout soup tames the heat.

## Refillable side dishes at the self-serve corner

Side dishes are served at first, and whenever you need more, you can just go grab plenty from the self-serve corner without hesitation. The lotus root salad was so crunchy and delicious that I refilled it twice.

Of all the braised pollock I've tried, "Hangsangcharim Kodari Myeongga Ruwon City Branch" gave me the most satisfaction. If you're looking for a Korean restaurant with healthy, not-too-intense flavors, definitely pay it a visit.

On your way out after the meal, cleanse your palate with the puffed rice snacks by the entrance 😁
