## Where is Exit Escape Room Cafe in Uijeongbu?

Exit Escape Room Cafe is an escape room café on the 4th floor of a building at 22 Haengbok-ro, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, on Rodeo Street. I was looking for something fun to do in Uijeongbu and ended up trying this place, EXIT.

Here's what the building looks like from outside. Pretty clean-looking, right?!! EXIT is located on the 4th floor of the building. It was a bit of a bummer that there's no elevator, but for the sake of fun, a few stairs are worth conquering!

Before heading up to enjoy the escape room, there's a sign near the 1st floor entrance listing out all the themes.

## How many themes? Haunted house, cold storage, closed ward and prison

Exit Escape Room Cafe's Uijeongbu branch has 4 themes in total. As you can see: 1st is haunted house, 2nd is cold storage, 3rd is closed ward, and 4th is prison! Just reading the names already gave me a chilling, ominous feeling.

Okay! When you go up and open the door, a staff member is waiting right there! As part of a review event, you get the chance to take a polaroid photo with your partner, friends, or family.

there are locks hanging up so you can check out the different lock types

and there's a notice board with lock instructions and precautions for using the devices. Reading it out loud is a must! If you don't properly read the instructions before touching anything, it can go badly~~ Moving on

### The theme we picked: cold storage

Let me introduce the theme we experienced. We tried Cold Storage, which is neither too hard nor too easy, and neither too scary nor not scary at all.

The premise: it's a cold storage warehouse that used to be run by a meat distribution company, and after it went out of business, strange sounds, strange cold air, and warning alarms started being heard!

## What to bring and what to know before you enter

Alright, shall we go in?? Wait!!! Before entering, note that there's a cabinet where you can store any electronics or belongings you're carrying~ Electronics means ALL electronics. Apple Watches aren't allowed either. They said the machines sometimes malfunction because of electronic devices, so absolutely!! do not bring them in with you~

## How hard and how scary is the cold storage theme?

True to its name, Exit Escape Room Cafe's Cold Storage theme was extremely cold. To be honest, right after we went in, we were locked in a room with nothing visible, and it was so genuinely cold that it really felt like being trapped in an actual freezer — it even made me wonder if I'd actually be able to solve my way out if I were really locked in a place like this..

To continue, since it was more about figuring out machines than solving riddles, there were machines I'd never seen before, plus a lot of those strange devices you only see on TV, so it was a liiiiittle bit hard, ㅠ and the fear rating was two stars, but maybe because I'm a scaredy-cat, it felt pretty scary ㅠㅠ I almost died

Given the nature of escape rooms, please note I can't go into detail about the puzzles or content inside. If you escape the room within 1 hour, you can also set a record.

### Hints and the photo rule at Exit Escape Room Cafe

One more simple note! You can use hints multiple times, but only those who escape using 3 hints or fewer get their photo taken, so keep that in mind too. That doesn't mean you HAVE to use exactly 3, so no worries!!

## What's waiting for you when the hour is up

After finishing the escape room, there's a water cooler set up for customers whose throats are dry from all the tension. I loved it so much. Even though it was cold, being scared still made me thirsty, and the owner's thoughtfulness there was next level.

The water tastes amazing~ And right next to it there's a restroom too. I didn't take a photo of the restroom since that felt a bit off, but please note it's a shared restroom.
