## In short

Peer a Peer is a large bakery café in Jillye-myeon, Gimhae, Gyeongnam, divided at the order counter into a left-hand space made for easy conversation and a right-hand space lined with bookshelves like a small library. On a weekend drive through Gimhae, the writer ordered two iced Americanos made with chocolat beans, a lemon meringue croissant, and the very last slice of lemon tiramisu. With free parking for about 100 cars and plenty to look at inside, Peer a Peer earns its place among Gimhae bakery cafés.

I went for a weekend drive around Gimhae and ended up at a really gorgeous large bakery café. The space was so spacious and full of things to look at that the café itself felt like an attraction. I kept thinking, why didn't I find this place sooner?! Haha!

Let me introduce Peer a Peer, a café located in Jillye, Gimhae.

![Exterior of Peer a Peer, a large bakery café in Jillye, Gimhae](https://img.superchart.com/images/pier-a-pier-gimhae-jinrye-lemon-tiramisu/pier-a-pier-gimhae-jinrye-lemon-tiramisu-01-1ll31-1200.webp)

## Where is Peer a Peer? Location, hours, and parking in Jillye, Gimhae

📍 Peer a Peer — 139-5 Jillye-ro, Jillye-myeon, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam

- 🕒 Hours: Mon–Fri 11:00–20:00 / Sat–Sun 11:00–21:00
- 🅿️ Free parking, dedicated ground-level lot in front of the building

This is the café's exterior — doesn't it look like Jeju Island?! The lot is huge, and the parking area is spacious enough to fit about 100 cars. Usually parking is the first worry at a big weekend café, but here you really don't need to stress about it.

## The revolving door entrance and the main photo spot under the curtain

The entrance alone isn't ordinary, right? The door actually revolves a full 360 degrees, haha.

And this right here is Peer a Peer's main spot. A long curtain painted with an artistic design hangs above a huge table, and the whole space feels like a piece of art in itself. The overall mood is calm, so it's great for chatting quietly with friends, and it also looked perfect for reading or working on a laptop.

## Left side or bookshelf side: where to sit at Peer a Peer

At Peer a Peer, right when you walk in, the ordering counter for bakery and drinks sits in the very center, splitting the space into left and right. This is the left side! It has a mood that's great for chatting with friends, and each table has a slightly different interior and atmosphere, so it's fun just to look around.

This is the space on the right, and the mood feels just like a library. A huge bookshelf is packed tight with books, so it seems like it'd be really nice to come empty-handed, pick out a book, and read for a while.

Each table also has its own little lamp, which adds to the calm, cozy, library-like atmosphere.

## Cake display and prices at Peer a Peer

Near the register, the cakes are on display. The visuals are seriously dazzling... everything looked delicious, so I had a real decision paralysis moment.

On the wall opposite the register, all kinds of bread are on display. The visuals here are no joke either... how does everything look this delicious...

Even the plates the bread is served on are pretty.

## Iced Americano made with chocolat beans

We ordered two iced Americanos with chocolat beans, a lemon meringue croissant, and lemon tiramisu — total lemon-loving friends here, haha.

Peer a Peer's iced Americano is made with chocolat beans. True to the name, you can taste the nutty chocolate flavor with barely any acidity! It's reasonably strong but finishes clean, so it pairs really well with sweet desserts. Since the two lemon desserts we picked were both pretty creamy, sipping the iced Americano in between kept things from getting too rich — really good combo.

## What the lemon meringue croissant tastes like

This is the lemon meringue croissant I couldn't walk past because of its looks. I noticed almost everyone was ordering one. It feels like Peer a Peer's signature item — the croissant is topped with a generous amount of soft meringue cream, and inside there's just the right amount of lemon cream. The lemon cream wasn't sharply sour but bright and sweet, which made it genuinely delicious.

Why are lemon desserts so good lately... Even though the croissant touches the cream, it didn't get too soggy and kept its crispness, so it was tasty all the way to the last bite.

## The last slice of lemon tiramisu at Peer a Peer

There was exactly one lemon tiramisu left, and we grabbed it right away. A tiny slice of lemon sits on top, which is just too cute.

Lemon cream sits on top of white whipped cream — the whipped cream is soft, and the lemon cream is bright and sweet, so it just melts in your mouth. Especially, the tartness of the lemon cream balances out the sweetness of the whipped cream, so even with all that cream, it wasn't as rich as I expected.

Scooping up the moist bread layered underneath along with the cream is next-level delicious!!! There was more bread inside than expected, so the bread-to-cream ratio was just right.

Every dessert we had at Peer a Peer was a hit. Honestly, with visuals you don't see every day and everything tasting this good, I'm officially calling this a Gimhae bakery café worth visiting.

## Takeout cup holders, high chairs, and restrooms

Also, my friend got a vanilla latte to go, and I was so surprised by how pretty the cup holder was.

There were little details like this all over the café worth noticing. Maybe that's why I saw a lot of kids around too.

High chairs are available as well. You can't really see it here... sorry, sorry, but I tried to take a somewhat aesthetic photo anyway, haha.

The restroom was also clean and nicely maintained, so I snapped a photo. 📸

## Outdoor seats, tray return, and leaving Peer a Peer

After getting my coffee fix with delicious desserts and spending some relaxed time, I finished by dropping my used tray into the return spot on the way out. The return area was neatly set up, so all you do is slot the tray in as you leave.

Isn't the outdoor seating just like Jeju Island? The lush green scenery with pretty clouds was healing just to look at. We took a full lap around the outside of the café! The outdoor space is nicely decorated too, so take a walk around it.
