Why did I use a cleansing balm when blackheads bothered me?

As the weather got hotter, I started noticing the oiliness and blackheads around my nose. Rather than frequently using something as irritating as a nose strip, I wanted to manage them during my daily cleansing step, so I used a cleansing balm.

The product I used was HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm. I chose it after seeing that it uses charcoal and is described as being made in Korea.

Was the texture and container easy to use?

Unlike cleansing oil, it was a balm that did not run down below my wrist, so it was easy to use. The texture was soft, adhered to the skin, and I felt that even a small amount spread well.

I scooped it out with the included spatula, then attached the spatula to the lid for storage after use. It is a small thing, but not having to keep the spatula separately felt hygienic.

How did I use the HEEDA cleansing balm?

- I used the included spatula to scoop out an appropriate amount onto dry hands.
- I massaged it onto my dry face as if applying cream.
- I spent a little more time massaging around my nose, where blackheads bothered me.
- When removing heavy makeup, I left it around my eyes for 1–2 minutes before massaging.

Because the formula is black, I found myself rubbing more thoroughly until the color became lighter on my skin during the massage. On my skin, I could see white buildup in oilier areas, so I focused on those spots.

How was the dryness or eye irritation after use?

I did not experience eye irritation or discomfort while using it. After rinsing, it felt moisturized and as though my skin texture had been smoothed out, rather than squeaky-clean and tight; it also felt softer.

Even after one use, it felt fresh, as if my pores had been washed clean. With continued use, my blackheads seemed to fade, so I especially liked being able to cleanse and care for my pores in one step.
