Gojip Tongmuneo Kalguksu Byeollae Byeolgaram Station Branch is a seafood kalguksu restaurant in Namyangju, Gyeonggi, where you eat whole octopus and clams before adding the noodles. My wife and I enjoyed the small whole-octopus kalguksu and fried cuttlefish, with spring kimchi alongside. Verdict: a satisfying, warming lunch, but allow time for a possible weekday wait.
Marblejeong is a Korean beef restaurant in Seongdong, Seoul, where I had Korean beef and mul naengmyeon with my wife and seven-year-old son before a walk in Seoul Forest. The adjacent parking area, relaxed seating, and staff grilling service made the family meal easygoing. We all enjoyed the beef, though the dessert and children's services described here were offered at the time of our visit.
