In short

Namhang Kkeutjip is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Seocho, Seoul, serving lunch sets and grilled meat. I ordered the salt-roast platter with muksabal and doenjang-jjigae, while the staff handled grilling at a separate dedicated table. Namhang Kkeutjip is an easy pick for a relaxed lunch or group dinner near Yangjae Station.

I visited Namhang Kkeutjip, a great Yangjae spot with quality meat and a clean, pleasant setting for a meal✨ It is already so well known as a Korean BBQ restaurant near Yangjae Station and a place for company dinners, so I went for a hearty dinner, too!

As soon as I entered the alley by Yangjae Station, the yellow sign of Namhang Kkeutjip caught my eye with a warm welcome! With everything from lunch dishes to grilled meat, it was also just right for a great lunch in Yangjae✨

A group-dinner-friendly atmosphere and menu

Inside, a clean and comfortable dining hall opened up before us! The tables were nicely spaced apart and the ventilation was well equipped, making it a perfectly suitable place for a gathering with friends or a company dinner near Yangjae Station🍽️

After taking a leisurely look through the menu, I ordered the tempting salt-roast platter! The selection was generous, from lunch set meals to grilled dishes, so it was easy to choose what suited our taste🥩

After ordering, neat sauces and fresh banchan (Korean side dishes) that paired well with the meat were set on the table! The tidy combination of sides was perfect for whetting our appetite before the meal🥗 The muksabal (cold acorn jelly soup) here was the real highlight.

A dedicated staff grilling service

Namhang Kkeutjip’s biggest advantage is its grilling system! Staff take the meat to a separate dedicated grill table and carefully cook every piece for you🔥 It was so nice to wait comfortably without worrying about smoke or oil splatters.

Meat grilling on a dedicated grill table

The meat, beautifully browned by the staff’s skilled hands, arrived at our table neatly plated and ready to eat! Since we did not have to grill it ourselves, there was no worry about the smell clinging to us, and we could eat while chatting comfortably without interruption👍

Salt-roast pork with meljeot and myeonginamul

I picked up a piece of perfectly grilled meat and dipped it into meljeot (fermented anchovy sauce)! Crisp and golden outside, it burst with juices inside, filling my mouth with wonderful savory richness🥩

I made ssam (wrapped bites) with grilled vegetables, wasabi, and the house special sauce! The meat’s natural umami and crisp sides came together beautifully, so there was no time for it to feel heavy—we cleared every last bite🥬

I wrapped a golden piece of meat in grilled kimchi and salty myeonginamul (pickled wild garlic leaves)!

The fragrant, lightly sweet umami of the myeonginamul and the spicy, well-fermented kimchi blended with the rich meat juices in a perfect combination, balanced enough that it never felt heavy🥩✨

Doenjang-jjigae that paired beautifully with the meat

The doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), bubbling away in its ttukbaegi (earthenware pot), had a wonderfully deep, savory broth!

A spoonful between bites of meat completely refreshed and cleared the rich taste from my mouth, making it the perfect side that had us finishing a whole bowl of rice in no time✨

What I liked about Namhang Kkeutjip

  • The staff grill the meat separately at a dedicated table and bring it over, so you can chat and eat comfortably without worrying about smoke or oil✨
  • The thick meat is full of its natural flavor and juicy moisture—a taste that anyone, young or old, would admire🥩
  • With its comfortable atmosphere and convenient grilling system, I highly recommend it for a company dinner or lunch appointment near Yangjae Station👍
