Seongsan restaurant with a wooden high chair for babies: Jejurowoon
Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch is a braised hairtail, mulhoe and earthen-pot stew restaurant near Seongsan Ilchulbong and Aqua Planet Seongsan in Seogwipo, Jeju, run for nearly 30 years. Visiting with a 7-month-old baby, the writer ordered the A set at 24,000 won per person, which brings galchi-jorim (braised hairtail), grilled tilefish, sticky pot rice, soy-marinated crab and a seafood pot, then added an extra bowl of rice, something the writer never normally does, because the six thick hairtail pieces and the pot rice were that good. With a wooden high chair and baby tableware on hand, Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon is an easy, clearly good-value braised hairtail meal with an infant in tow.
