Why did I choose a cleansing balm for combination skin?

I have combination skin, with a lot of sebum around my nose and dry cheeks. Cleansing oils tended to cause breakouts for me, while tissue-type cleansers felt irritating on my face. So I began using a solid balm that I could massage over my skin, emulsify with warm water, and rinse away.

What did HEEDA Jirisan Hydrating Charcoal Cleansing Balm feel like?

It was a black balm that seemed to melt softly when applied to my skin. When massaging around my nose, I felt some grainy particles, which I took to be dead skin. I also liked the scent, so the time spent massaging it in felt pleasant.

How did my skin feel after cleansing, and how well did it remove makeup?

I followed this product with a second cleanse using cleansing foam. Even so, I liked that my skin did not feel dry afterward. I especially noticed a big difference around my nose, and I found that it generally removed heavy color makeup cleanly.

Were there any drawbacks or points to keep in mind after more than six months?

After using only this product for more than six months, I became less likely to keep switching cleansing products. Still, rather than removing dead skin too aggressively while cleansing, I tried to care for my skin gently—just enough to wash away makeup and impurities.
