After a weekend at Seoul Grand Park with a child, the blogger ordered the Deo Chadol couple course of duck brisket, duck jumulleok (marinated duck) and fried rice, and high chairs, room seating and bead ice cream made the meal easy with a little one. Verdict: for a weekend dinner at Deo Chadol with kids, get there before 5:30 p.m.

Sisters' lunch in Gwacheon: minari shabu-shabu with sujebi, Cheongnok

Cheongnok Minari Restaurant Gwacheon is a minari (water dropwort) shabu-shabu restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Hillstate shopping building near Government Complex Gwacheon Station in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi. On a return visit on the way to the Seoul Grand Park trail, the writer, her minari-loving sister and her partner ordered minari shabu-shabu for 3, added fish cake skewers and potato sujebi (hand-torn dough flakes), and finished with kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) and vegetable porridge. At 14,900 won per person with unlimited vegetables, kalguksu and porridge included, Cheongnok Minari Restaurant made a filling, easy-on-the-stomach lunch for a Gwacheon outing.
