On a rainy weekend with her husband, the writer ordered a Helsinki Latte (₩5,400) and an Americano (₩3,800), gave back a butter babka just before paying because of another order, and instead had a handmade New York cookie, a Porto-style egg tart and butter salt bread. Service at Minimale fell a little short, but a Helsinki Latte that keeps its flavor as the ice melts and generous parking make it a Gwacheon café worth lingering in.

For lunch, the writer ordered a Hanwoo yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) bibimbap set and a stone-pot roe rice set for 28,000 won in total, both with a Handon (Korean pork) tteokgalbi patty, and found the yukhoe bibimbap tastier than the bibimbap eaten on a trip to Jeonju. For a filling office lunch or a solo meal in Gwacheon, the tteokgalbi sets at Bibisam Gwacheon Main Branch are a good choice.
