Comparing mild and spicy galbitang bowls near Hoegi Station, Seoul
Hoegi Wang Galbitang is a galbitang (short rib soup) restaurant in Dongdaemun, Seoul, 333m from Exit 1 of Hoegi Station, halfway between HUFS and Kyung Hee University. The writer ordered one mild galbitang and one spicy galbitang side by side to compare the clear and spicy broths, and both bowls came with two rib bones each. The mild version is a safe first-timer's choice, while the spicy one is much hotter than expected, so those sensitive to spice should steer clear.
