Yeonnam-dong Japanese restaurant lunch with a niece: Jongno Donburi
Jongno Donburi Yeonnam is a donburi (rice bowl) restaurant in a basement space in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul, at 9 Donggyo-ro 46-gil, Mapo-gu. The writer had lunch there with her sister and elementary-school-age niece, ordering sake-don, mix katsudon, and natto, and found the salmon thick and the katsudon's shrimp and pork cutlet both so large that everyone ended up sharing. With its clean interior, it's a place that works for eating with kids, solo dining, or a date.
