Daegu Korean restaurant lunch with burdock refills: Banwoldang
Banwoldang Bujasikdang is a fire-grilled stir-fry Korean restaurant on Gwandeokjeong-gil in Jung-gu, Daegu. Over lunch with a coworker, the writer ordered the fire-grilled squid-and-pork stir-fry (오.제 볶음) and country cheonggukjang (fermented soybean) stew, and asked for a refill of the crispy burdock fritter side dish. There was a wait at Banwoldang Bujasikdang, but turnover was fast, and one order stretched into three ways of eating — stir-fry, lettuce ssam wraps, and bibimbap.
