A mom of two spotted the new sign in her neighborhood and checked out the peanut bread prices (₩3,000 for 20, ₩6,000 for 45, ₩10,000 for 80), the in-store roasting and baking, and the roasted peanuts, black peanuts, peanut butter and sikhye (sweet rice drink) slush. Her verdict: the biggest plus of Daesin Peanut Bread Beomeo Direct Store is getting generously peanut-filled bread without going all the way to Seomun Market.

Baut is a three-floor brunch café on Dongbu-ro 26-gil near Dongdaegu Station in Dong-gu, Daegu. On a brunch date with her elementary-school son, the writer had a brunch plate topped with seasonal fruit, a 13,500 won potato cream soup and a rich hot chocolate at Baut, which stayed full the whole time even though only the first two floors were open. Baut is a café she would happily return to whenever she has to pick someone up at Dongdaegu Station.
