Solo beef intestine gukbap and sundae in Sinjungdong: Gukbabi-ga
Gukbabi-ga Bucheon Main Branch is a gukbap (rice-and-soup) restaurant a three-minute walk from Sinjungdong Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi, where rice and sundae come with unlimited refills. Arriving alone at 11am on a weekday, the writer took a solo seat and ordered hanwoo daechang gukbap (beef intestine soup) with a half portion of native sundae (Korean blood sausage), then refilled sundae and rice at the self-serve bar. The broth, simmered for 12 hours, tasted clean and light, and the bowl kept turning up more to eat.
