Yangju Okjeong Japanese restaurant with free parking: Choi Dining

Choi Dining Yangju Okjeong is a maki, tonkatsu and pasta restaurant on the 2nd floor of Bujaro Tower in the Okjeong-dong central shopping district of Yangju, Gyeonggi. On a late lunch visit for two, the writer ordered the salmon futomaki at 13,900 won and the Choi bone-in tonkatsu at 16,500 won, and the building's free parking removed the usual Okjeong parking hassle. Two plates filled up two people, making Choi Dining an easy lunch pick in Okjeong.

Yangju Okjeong tonkatsu restaurant with must-try croquette: Himawari

Himawari is a 20-year-old tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) restaurant at 105 Dream Tower 2 in the Okjeong central shopping district, Yangju, Gyeonggi. On a Friday evening, two of us ordered the spicy seafood udon set with tenderloin katsu and the Himawari Assorted B with fish katsu, which brought tenderloin, fish and cheese katsu plus a croquette to the table. The batter is thin and light across the board, and the croquette at Himawari is the one item you should not skip.
