Downtown Gasan Public (다운타우너 가산퍼블릭) is a handmade burger shop in Building A of Public Gasan, near Gadi Station in Geumcheon, Seoul. The writer and his wife each ordered the avocado burger set, swapping the side for sweet potato fries and the drink for Seagram's Lemon, and enjoyed the juicy patty and the sweet potato fries, which tasted as if topped with honey and condensed milk. With a spacious, clean dining room and underground parking, Downtown Gasan Public is an easy pick for a Gasan office lunch or a solo meal.

Clap Pizza Gasan Public is a new pizza brand launched by the burger chain Downtowner, sharing one shop with Downtowner near Gasan Digital Complex Station in Geumcheon, Seoul. Two diners ordered a regular basil tomato mascarpone pizza, 6 wings and a Downtowner burger in one sitting; the chewy dough and meaty wings stood out, though the amount was a lot for two. Clap Pizza Gasan Public is a good fit for Gasan office workers who want pizza and burgers at the same table for lunch.

Gwangmyeong jjukkumi restaurant with cabbage salad wraps: Jeongipum

Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch is a griddle jjukkumi (spicy stir-fried webfoot octopus) restaurant on the 1st floor of AK Plaza in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi, standing right in front of the roundabout you see as you enter the underground parking lot. The order was the sari-deumbuk beef belly jjukkumi stir-fry at the default spicy level plus snow cheese fried rice, and tucking the cabbage salad into a perilla leaf wrap balanced out the heat beautifully. A Naver reservation meant walking in with no wait, and the staff cook everything from start to finish.

Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang Branch is a café on the 3rd floor of Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang in Gyeonggi, in the same building as Shake Shack and Outback. Visiting with his pregnant wife, the writer ordered two decaf iced americanos and was surprised by how rich the aroma and flavor were, then took seats on the 2nd floor because the 1st floor stayed full. Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters is an easy outlet café for carrying a coffee around while you shop.
