Halls Gimbap Main Branch (홀스김밥본점) is a handmade gimbap (seaweed rice roll) and dakgangjeong (crispy sweet fried chicken) shop in an alley near Exit 1 of Gyodae Station in Seocho, Seoul. The shop was previously a franchise branch and only the name on the sign changed, as the owner, the gimbap cook and the fried chicken cook all stayed, so the spam gimbap and the Jindo scallion tuna gimbap with dakgangjeong set taste the same: thin rice, densely packed fillings, and chicken made from domestic chilled thigh meat trimmed that morning with a house sauce. For solo meals or takeout near Gyodae Station, Halls Gimbap Main Branch is an easy recommendation.
