Why did I choose a low-pH cleansing foam for seasonal skin concerns?


Perhaps because of the recent seasonal change, my skin condition became quite unsettled, and I ended up taking medication prescribed at a dermatology clinic. I thought I should look at my cleansing habits as well as the products I apply, so I tried HEEDA’s low-pH cleansing foam.

The skin’s surface is generally known to maintain a mildly acidic state. Since I was mindful that using strongly cleansing products for a long time could leave my skin feeling dry or tight, I chose a product described as being formulated with a pH similar to that of skin.

What were the texture and scent like?


The packaging was clean and simple. When I opened the cap, the scent was subtle rather than strong.

It had a springy gel-to-foam texture, and it lathered softly when it met water. It was not the kind of foam that expands into a huge volume, but I could wash with fine, dense bubbles.


How did my skin feel after washing?

The most striking part on first use was that my skin felt less tight after washing. Unlike the squeaky-clean feeling I got with my previous cleanser, it felt as though a layer of moisture remained for me.
