Gusa Yeonnam is a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant in Mapo, Seoul, near Hongik University Station Exit 3. I visited with a friend for Hanwoo beef small intestine, mentaiko udon with pork belly and shrimp, and cherry ade; the crisp intestine and savory udon sauce stood out, along with the spacious tables and counter views of the griddle.

Mapo Korean restaurant for hanwoo gomtang: Doonjeong Hongdae

Doonjeong Hongdae Direct Branch is a Korean restaurant on Donggyo-ro in Mapo, Seoul, which I reached on foot from Hongik University Station. I had the ₩18,000 chadol hanwoo gomtang with a beef minari jeon and a half plate of dressed beef; the rich broth, tender beef, and sweet-tangy side dish worked well together.
