Cleansing balm for dehydrated oily skin: HEEDA Charcoal

I need to cleanse every day when I wear sunscreen, so I tried a cleansing balm for the first time. The product I used on my dehydrated oily skin was HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm.

My first cleansing balm: texture and packaging

It was a solid black charcoal balm, but it melted softly when I scooped it out with the spoon and touched it with my hands. A separate spoon was included inside the lid, along with a hygienic inner cover, which made it convenient to store.

How it removed sunscreen and eye makeup

Even a small amount removed sunscreen and makeup fairly well. Honestly, I was disappointed that eyeliner remained after the first massage, but it removed the remaining parts better after I added lukewarm water and emulsified it until it turned white.

It was convenient that I did not need to lather it up or use a separate cleansing oil. In my experience, it also did not cause much stinging when washing around my eyes.

Post-wash feel and concerns about skin texture

Massaging it over my face felt a little like using a charcoal mask, and it applied softly without feeling harsh. My face did not feel tight after washing, and the sebum on my nose was cleared away, so I was less concerned about the areas where my makeup had been separating.

I will need to keep using it to see changes in my concerns about uneven texture and blackheads, but it was a convenient first cleansing balm for days when I wanted to finish cleansing off sunscreen in one step.
