Yeonnam-dong okonomiyaki spot with late-night yakisoba: Gusa Yeonnam
Gusa Yeonnam is a teppan izakaya in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul, in the basement of a building down a Yeontral Park side street near Exit 3 of Hongik University Station. Craving okonomiyaki, the writer ordered the signature 2-person set at Gusa Yeonnam and received it course by course: yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) eaten with a pile of ginger on top, wagyu and black tiger shrimp grilled on the teppan, and the cheese-pull Gusa okonomiyaki (savory pancake). Even on a late-night visit with no drinks, the food, atmosphere, and service at Gusa Yeonnam were all good.
