Bucheon Korean restaurant, sisters' dinner and mackerel: Gim Myeongju

Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang (김명주뜰안채밥상) is a Korean set-meal restaurant in Sinjungdong, Bucheon. Two sisters ordered two Tteuranchae Bapsang sets at ₩13,000 each plus one grilled mackerel at ₩15,000, and ate 12 side dishes, sotbap (rice cooked in a stone pot), cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) and barley rice from the self-serve bar. At Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang, two people don't need one set each: adding a single à la carte dish is more than enough to leave both full.

Wasabi mayo chewy fries at Angry Potato, a Bucheon Jungdong food hall

Angry Potato Hyundai Department Store Jungdong Branch is a fresh-cut fries and chewy potato counter in the B1 food hall of Hyundai Department Store in Jungdong, Bucheon. Over lunch with a friend, the order was a mini burger skewer at 10,000 won, chewy potato at 5,500 won, hot crunch chicken at 9,900 won and Angry Potato chips at 13,000 won, topped half with chipotle and half with wasabi mayo from the nine-sauce self-serve bar. The tin case the chips come in doubles as a piggy bank and makes the chips an easy snack to carry up to the cinema.
