Gyukatsu restaurant in Gangseo, Seoul with cabbage side dish: Ichigyu

Ichigyu Balsan Station Branch is a gyukatsu (Japanese breaded beef cutlet) restaurant on the second floor of the Hillstate Eco Magok officetel, a 2-minute walk from Balsan Station in Gangseo, Seoul. The order was sirloin gyukatsu at 19,500 won, sirloin steki at 19,500 won and a 420ml Kirin draft beer at 8,000 won, with the beef grilled at the table on a butter-coated hot plate and rice served in a small rice pot with free refills. The cabbage side dish turned out to be the unexpected kick at Ichigyu, cutting the richness so well that two diners, one of whom usually avoids fatty food, finished every plate.
