Dami Seorak Charcoal-grilled Dakgalbi is a charcoal dakgalbi (grilled chicken) and makguksu (buckwheat noodle) restaurant at 150 Hanseo-ro in Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong, Gyeonggi. Four adults and one child stopped in on the way to a weekend camping trip and ordered two servings of half-and-half dakgalbi, two bowls of mul-makguksu (cold noodles in broth) and a kids' rice ball; the chicken came out tender and the noodle broth mild and refreshing. With four baby chairs and a parking lot right out front, Dami Seorak Charcoal-grilled Dakgalbi is an easy stop for families on the road.

Urban Slow City is a riverview auto-camping and glamping ground on Gaonggae-gil in Nam-myeon, Chuncheon, Gangwon. Seven people — six adults and one child — stayed on a family gravel site at Urban Slow City and used the playground, the trampoline, the 24-hour self-serve store and a shower room stocked down to the shampoo, paying about 110,000 won in September including the extra person and car fees. For family camping with young kids, Urban Slow City is well worth the drive.
