Steamed clams in sake with noodles at Daegu izakaya Wakoan

Izakaya Wakoan Suseong Beomeo Branch is a Japanese-style izakaya in Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, across from Daegu Bank beside the KBS broadcasting station. On a first stop before a second round, the order was clam sool-jjim (clams steamed in sake, 25,000 won) with extra noodles (3,000 won), homemade ankimo gim-bugak (monkfish liver on crisp seaweed, 10,000 won) and draft Ebisu, all served about 10 minutes after ordering. With partitioned tables and a group room for up to 14, Wakoan suits both a quick drink and a full gathering.
