Gangneung restaurant with a 2nd-floor window room: abalone porridge
Gangneung Jeonbok Haenyeo Village is an abalone specialty restaurant just behind Gangmun Beach and the St. Johns Hotel in Gangneung. Arriving right at opening, the writer ordered the pressure-cooker abalone porridge for two (50,000 won), which arrived with a haenyeo table of more than 12 dishes including boiled pork, mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) and seafood, eaten in a bright second-floor room with a large window. Gangneung Jeonbok Haenyeo Village makes a filling breakfast stop before a day at Gangmun Beach.
