Gwangju tonkatsu with rice-paper wraps: Filling Donkatsu Yongbong
Filling Donkatsu Yongbong Branch is a tonkatsu restaurant in Yongbong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju, right next to Hyundai Hospital. A family of four came for weekend lunch with a Naver reservation and ordered two servings of Filling ssam donkatsu (tonkatsu wrapped in rice paper), shrimp pilaf and the 200-hour tenderloin katsu, with a soup refill along the way. Both the rice-paper wraps and the rosy-pink tenderloin katsu tasted clean and light, so Filling Donkatsu works just as well for a date as for a family meal.
