Crispy fried eggplant at Sinbok Myeongwan, Gangnam Chinese restaurant

Sinbok Myeongwan is a Chinese restaurant serving knife-cut noodles, dim sum and wok dishes on Teheran-ro 4-gil near Gangnam Station in Seoul. Three dishes came to the table: fried eggplant (15,000 won), dim sum, and tomato egg stir-fry (10,800 won) — the eggplant crisp outside and soft inside, the dim sum tender, and the tomato egg stir-fry eaten on its own without rice. It made a good sharing combination at Sinbok Myeongwan when you want three very different textures in one Chinese meal.

Meat-piled pho bowl and receipt review drink at Dongtan Station

Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch is a Vietnamese pho restaurant on the first floor of Richian Shopping Center near Dongtan Station in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. The bowl arrived generously topped with meat, and the crispy fried side dish paired well against the soft noodles for great texture contrast. With bar seating built for quiet meals, it's also worth considering for solo dining near Dongtan Station.
