Cleansing balm for dehydrated oily skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal

How did it remove makeup?

I used it to cleanse on days when I wore sunscreen, cushion foundation, and foundation. It melted softly at body temperature when I scooped it onto my hand, and as I massaged it over my face, it turned oil-like and felt as though it was melting away my makeup.

I also removed lip tint and mascara with it without using a separate remover. For me, it made my cleansing routine simpler and more convenient.

Did the black balm leave staining?

When I first opened the lid, I was concerned that the black formula might leave staining. When I used it, I did not notice any staining, and my skin felt cleanly washed after cleansing.

How were the residue and tightness after cleansing?

With balm cleansers, I sometimes end up washing again with foam cleanser because of lingering slipperiness. But after this product emulsified on contact with water and I rinsed it off, I found little residue. It finished fairly fresh without a strong dry, tight feeling.

Because I have dehydrated oily skin, I tend to feel inner tightness easily after cleansing, but my skin felt relatively comfortable after using it. I reached for it often even during a period when indoor heating made dryness a concern.

How did I use it on areas with sebum concerns?

I massaged a little longer around areas where sebum concerned me, such as beside my nose and around the nostrils. When I applied makeup the next day, my pore texture looked a little more refined to me.

Was the container easy to use?

I found it convenient that the spatula could be secured and stored in the lid. I did not need to look for it separately, and it did not feel burdensome to put in a travel pouch.
