Cleansing duo for sensitive skin: HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal

How did it feel on sensitive skin?

I tried the HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Duo Set as a cleansing product to use after being out on hot days. Because I have sensitive skin, I tend to look for products that feel less irritating, and I found the two-step setup of using the cleansing balm and foam convenient.

What were the cleansing foam’s lather and finish like?

The cleansing foam had a black formula and spread smoothly. When I tested the lather on my arm, it also foamed up well.

After washing, my skin felt moisturized rather than tight. I wrote that the inclusion of a seven-layer hyaluronic acid complex and aqua ceramide also raised my expectations for its moisturizing feel.

According to the original post, this foam has a mildly acidic formula, with clinical figures provided for sunscreen removal and skin irritation. In actual use, though, what stood out more was the moisturized feel after lightly removing sunscreen.

How did I use the cleansing balm?

The cleansing balm had a formula that melted softly when it met the warmth of my hands. Rather than feeling oily, it spread thinly, so it felt less burdensome around my eyes and lips.

It contains fine charcoal powder, and I also felt as though sebum and impurities were being cleared away. It has a lid that twists open and closed, and the included spoon made it convenient to scoop out.

How did I test makeup removal?

I applied lipstick and eyeliner to my arm, then scooped out and rubbed in the cleansing balm to check its cleansing power. I initially used a large amount, but felt that a smaller amount would probably be enough.

After rubbing in the balm, I added water to emulsify it and saw that the tested color cosmetics came off cleanly. Using the foam afterward completed a two-step cleansing routine.
