Doenjang jjigae with beef brisket and egg meatballs: Cafe Dongi, Daegu
Cafe Dongi Dongseong-ro Main Branch is a Korean restaurant on the second floor of a building in Dongseong-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu, near Banwoldang Station. Visiting as a trio, the writer ordered a beef brisket doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) rice table, a solo-grill jeyuk (spicy pork) set, and a solo-grill dwaeji bulgogi (grilled pork) set, plus a side of egg meatballs (5 pieces, ₩2,900), and loaded up on the self-serve gim (seaweed), fried eggs, barley candy, and hutgae tea. Great value and fast service made it a solid pick for everything from student dates to family outings.
