The writer ordered the Bakdal Special 3-person set plus a side order of 4 Dokdo shrimp, working through pufferfish skin salad, mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), steamed bakdal snow crab and a crab-broth ramyeon finish, with extra silky clams, shrimp and nakji tangtangi (chopped live octopus) thrown in for free. Even the writer's picky elementary-schooler cleaned the crab plate — a generous, well-served course worth the trip into the market.
