Raw shrimp with fried heads on a rainy day: Nampo, Daegu
Nampo is a shellfish grill and raw seafood pub in the Gyodong-Dongseongno area of Jung-gu, Daegu. On a rainy day the writer sat indoors instead of at the outdoor tables, ordered raw shrimp, separated the heads herself to have them fried, and worked through the complimentary vegetable seafood kalguksu and a service seafood ramyeon. A return visit years after a memorable shellfish grill, and the raw shrimp turned out to be even better than expected.
