Stroller-friendly Korean lunch in Gagyeong-dong, Cheongju: Jeju Badang
Jeju Badang is a Jeju-style Korean restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building behind Gagyeong IPARK and Xi in Gagyeong-dong, Cheongju. On a weekday lunch visit with a baby in a stroller, the writer ordered two lunch specials of Jeju boneless hairtail stew (sunsal galchi-jorim) with rice at 21,000 won each, and the wide gaps between tables left room to park the stroller and eat comfortably. Between the plump, bone-free hairtail and a self-serve bar that even stocks fried chicken, Jeju Badang is the restaurant that comes to mind whenever braised hairtail cravings hit.
