Cleansing balm for dry, sensitive skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal

How did it feel on dry, sensitive skin?

My skin tends to be dry and sensitive, so I pay attention to tightness and redness after cleansing. This product was introduced as a mildly acidic cleansing balm, so I tried it, and I did not notice much irritation while using it. Skin reactions can vary, though.

What are the texture and scent like?

The black-and-white packaging includes a built-in spatula, which made it easy to scoop out. It is a slightly thick balm, but it melted with the warmth of my hands and turned into an oil-like texture. The subtle herbal scent was not strong, so it felt less overwhelming while cleansing.

How did it remove makeup?

I spread it evenly over my face, then rubbed it in with my fingertips as if massaging. In my use, foundation, tint, and mascara tended to melt away, and I also removed waterproof eyeliner from the back of my hand by rubbing for about 20 seconds.

I massaged around my nose for about one more minute. Since it contains charcoal, I felt it could also be worth trying for sebum care. When rinsed with water, the oil emulsified and became like fine foam, and there was little slippery residue after cleansing.

Did my skin feel tight after cleansing?

What I liked most was that my skin felt less tight immediately after cleansing. I usually feel tightness unless I apply toner right away, but after using this product, a moisturized feeling remained, so I did not need to rush my skincare.

It was good to use on days when I wanted to remove makeup but was also concerned about dryness after cleansing. However, my impressions of cleansing power and skin condition are based on my own experience.
