Charcoal cleansing balm for combination skin: HEEDA Jirisan

How did it feel on an oily T-zone and dry cheeks?

Blackheads had been bothering me lately, so I had been spending more time cleansing. My T-zone tends to be oily while my cheeks feel quite dry, so I was looking for something that would leave less tightness after washing while still feeling refreshing.

The black balm texture felt unfamiliar at first, but it scooped up smoothly with the spatula. On my skin, it melted with body heat and turned oil-like; when I used it as if massaging, it did not feel irritating and left a hydrated feeling after cleansing.

How did I emulsify the cleansing balm?

Using the included spatula, I scooped out the amount I needed and cleansed my whole face with massaging motions. I rubbed my nose and T-zone for more than 30 seconds in particular.

Once the balm had melted into an oil-like state, I added a little water and it turned white. I used it by rolling it thoroughly at this point, then rinsing. There was almost no foam, but it left a refreshing finish.

Did it remove lip tint?

I tested it by applying a staining lip tint to the back of my hand. A red color remained when I simply wiped it off, but the stained tint came off after I gently massaged it with the cleansing balm, added water, and emulsified it.

What did I note about blackheads and uneven texture?

I took my time cleansing thoroughly, especially around my nose. With continued use, I felt that uneven texture and blackheads gradually improved. However, this is my personal experience and may vary depending on skin condition.

My skin used to feel very tight if I did not apply toner immediately after cleansing, so I liked that this product left a hydrated feeling even after I dried off the water.
