Soy sauce shrimp banchan at Daecheongmaru, a Sokcho tofu restaurant

Daecheongmaru is a tofu and dried pollack (hwangtae) Korean restaurant on Gwangwang-ro in Sokcho, Gangwon. The meal was Chodang sundubu (soft tofu stew) at 14,000 won and spicy sundubu at 15,000 won, served with a full banchan spread of soy sauce shrimp, seasoned tofu, seasoned dried pollack and biji (soybean pulp), in a shoes-off country-style interior with private rooms and a large dedicated parking lot. Mild rather than heavy, Daecheongmaru is an easy-on-the-stomach sundubu breakfast for a Sokcho trip.
