Eulwangni seafood restaurant: full-belly seafood rib stew, 300°C

300°C Seafood Galbi Main Branch is a dog-friendly seafood stew restaurant near Eulwangni Beach on Yeongjong Island, Incheon. The writer dropped in on a Sunday evening with no wait and ate the 2-person seafood pork rib stew (haemul deunggalbi-jjim) at spice level 2, and even after a big lunch the sauce was good enough to make them crave soju. Verdict: a tasty Eulwangni seafood stew spot even when you're already full.

Andong restaurant with a preschooler: moon-sized pajeon at Gilpung

Gilpung is a Korean restaurant specialising in heotjesabap (mixed rice with ritual-table side dishes) in Pungsan-eup, Andong, Gyeongbuk, near Hahoe Village and Byeongsan Seowon. The writer shared the heotjesabap seonbi set and a seafood pajeon (savory pancake) with a preschool child, and the soy-sauce-mixed heotjesabap, golden grilled salted mackerel and full-moon-sized seafood pajeon stood out. At Gilpung, don't skip the salted mackerel, and if you can't handle spice, choose the white gamju over the red Andong sikhye.

With great food and a European-style interior, Low Five Anguk is worth lining up for at opening and a definite place to return to.
